After the phenomenal success of ‘Hello, Love, Again,’ fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards are calling for the two stars to collaborate on a television series.
The romantic drama, which has become a global box-office hit, has grossed an impressive ₱566 million as of November 18, 2024. The movie, distributed internationally, has even made waves in the U.S. box office, further cementing the KathDen tandem’s appeal.
Supporters are actively pushing for a KathDen teleserye, highlighting the undeniable chemistry of the two actors.
Kathryn and Alden both expressed interest in working on a teleserye together, provided that the material is fresh and engaging.
“Once siguro na may magandang story, something new, something different to show the people,” Alden said in an interview.
Kathryn agreed, saying, “Basta may magandang materyal, why not?”
Previously, fans have proposed a Philippine adaptation of the hit South Korean drama ‘Queen of Tears,’ envisioning Kathryn and Alden as ideal leads.
This suggestion comes in the wake of the successful collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA Network on ‘Unbreak My Heart,’ which starred Jodi Sta. Maria, Gabbi Garcia, Richard Yap, and Joshua Garcia. The series marked a groundbreaking partnership between the rival networks, proving that such collaborations can thrive.
With Kathryn tied to ABS-CBN and Alden under GMA Network, fans are optimistic that another partnership between the networks could make the teleserye a reality.
The overwhelming response to ‘Hello, Love, Again’ and the success of ‘Unbreak My Heart’ have demonstrated the potential of cross-network collaborations. If realized, a KathDen teleserye could become another milestone for Philippine television, bringing two of the industry’s biggest stars together once again.
