New York-based Filipino artist Elle Marie triumphantly returns to the music scene after an 11-year hiatus with her new single under GMA Music, “Paglaya.”
Coming out on all digital streaming platforms this November 15, “Paglaya” is about cherishing memories from the past. The singer and songwriter shares, “It remembers the happy times, the people, and the experiences that made life special. The song recognizes that life moves forward, but these memories stay with us and are worth holding onto.”
Elle Marie wrote the single three years ago before finding the right time and team to bring “Paglaya” out to the world. She says, “Songwriting is my escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City. I find it really fulfilling and fun! I just had to put my music on pause to focus on my business, and I also wanted to do it justice. I told myself that if I was going to put out another song, I needed a talented team behind me, and my ultimate goal is to create something I’d personally love listening to.”
The brilliant artist dedicates “Paglaya” to her late dad, who had been her constant supporter. “He was my beloved notebook, my shock absorber—the one person I could share anything with, no matter how big or small, without fear of judgment. Sometimes he offered valuable advice, but most importantly, he listened,” Elle Marie shares.
