Donny Pangilinan, who started as a MYX VJ in 2016 before transitioning to the Kapamilya network, has made significant strides in his career, a journey he credits to ABS-CBN, Star Magic, and notably, his love team partner Belle Mariano.
In an interview following his recent contract renewal with ABS-CBN, Donny expressed gratitude for his growing career and the support he’s received from his network, fans, and family.
“I’m just super happy to be here in ABS-CBN. Time flies so fast. But I know that there’s so much more in store and I’m here with you guys and I am very, very much ready to overcome what we need to overcome,” Donny shared, describing ABS-CBN as his “second family.”
Donny’s parents, actors Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan, are pleased with his success, especially with the guidance of Star Magic. He praised the network for its collaborative approach, saying, “I am very blessed also that I am with bosses who I can consider family and who I can consider people really listen to you and who really collaborate with you and they will figure out on what they can do just to have the best come out, even for the audience and everyone who’s watching. So, thank you so much for that.”
He also acknowledged the significant impact Belle Mariano has had on his career, crediting their partnership as one of the reasons for his rise in popularity. Their fan-favorite pairing, known as “DonBelle,” has gained massive support across both television and film.
“Thank you rin sa pamilya ko, and siyempre kay Belle. Kasi malaking part siya sa journey ko. And I am just very happy na we get to do more things together,” Donny said.
Fans of the DonBelle duo are eagerly awaiting their upcoming series ‘How To Spot A Red Flag,’ which premieres on Viu on November 25.
