Kapamilya Primetime King Coco Martin openly addressed his struggles with the English language and shared reflections on his upbringing in a recent episode of ‘Ogie Diaz Inspires’ streamed Sunday, November 17.
When asked about claims that he blamed his parents for not training him to speak English fluently, Martin dismissed the idea and expressed understanding of his family’s circumstances.
Kumbaga, hindi isyu sa akin ‘yon,” Martin said, emphasizing that it was not an issue for him.
Martin also reflected on his family’s struggles, particularly his parents’ separation, which led to him and his siblings living apart. Despite the challenges, the actor said he never held a grudge against his parents.
Instead of focusing on his shortcomings, Martin said he concentrated on improving in areas where he could excel.
Tapos pagbubutihan ko dito,” he shared, demonstrating his determination to overcome obstacles.
Martin’s dedication extends to his work, with his long-running primetime series, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ recently marking its second year on air. The show, which has become a staple of Philippine television, continues to captivate audiences with its compelling storylines and strong performances.
