Veteran actress Claudine Barretto has publicly shown her support for fellow actress Rita Daniela, who recently filed an acts of lasciviousness case against co-star Archie Alemania, alleging he made unwanted advances toward her.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Claudine shared emotional screenshots from a video call with Daniela, showing the two actresses visibly moved. Claudine expressed her commitment to standing by Daniela, stating, “I went out of my way to be there for Rita. Why am I in the middle of a crossfire? Because I believe and will protect her.”
Addressing Alemania directly, Claudine called for accountability, encouraging him to apologize for the alleged incident. “To her perpetrator, ako harapin mo! Apologize before it’s too late, boy,” she urged, emphasizing that taking responsibility does not lessen one’s character but shows maturity and compassion.
Barretto further appealed to the public to avoid blaming Daniela, asking for compassion toward the actress. “Nakikiusap at nagmamakaawa ako, please let us not victim blame here. Let’s please show her our compassion and love,”
Claudine said, adding, “The damage has been done. Makikipaglaban ka daw sa korte to clear your image and name. I respect you doing this for your family. It’s easier to own up and apologize. You have family. I am willing to listen. Not my business but I have daughters.”
Barretto also shared her own experience of past harassment, aligning herself with other victims. “I will always protect anyone who is going through this for I, myself, was a victim years ago!,” she disclosed, pledging her full support to Daniela.

This support comes after Daniela filed a complaint with the Bacoor City Prosecutor’s Office, alleging that Alemania harassed her following a thanksgiving event hosted by actress Bea Alonzo for the cast of ‘Widows’ War.’
