Former ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ (MMK) host Charo Santos-Concio hinted at the possibility of bringing back the iconic drama anthology to showcase the inspiring stories of P-Pop girl group BINI.
The idea came after Charo attended BINI’s recent concert with her granddaughters, who are fans of the group. She shared her admiration for the members’ resilience and hard work, both in person and on her Instagram.
Charo went backstage after the show to personally congratulate the group. Addressing the eight members—Mikha, Aiah, Gwen, Maloi, Colet, Jhoanna, Sheena, and Stacey—she delivered a powerful message: “I want to congratulate you for your hard work, patience, and perseverance. I watched your story, and the best is yet to come. Congratulations!”
The young performers, visibly moved, joked, “Parang nanonood lang tayo ng MMK!”
Charo, undeterred, suggested the possibility of turning their experiences into a series of episodes. “I want to be able to tell your stories. Someday. Eight episodes. Ang gaganda. Your life stories are heart-wrenching,” she said.
Charo highlighted BINI’s impact on Filipino youth. “You’re role models to a lot of young people who have their dreams. You’re inspiring everyone to pursue their dreams,” she added.
On Instagram, Charo posted a video of her interaction with BINI, saying: “It was a joy to meet the talented members of BINI with my granddaughters. Their stories of hard work and resilience inspired countless young dreamers, like my apos, to keep on pursuing their passion. Good luck on your show tonight—you’ve already won our hearts.”

Charo’s comments sparked excitement among fans, many of whom are calling for a revival of ‘MMK’ to feature BINI’s inspiring journey in the P-Pop industry.
Since its debut, BINI has captured the hearts of fans with their talent, determination, and dedication to their craft. A series based on their lives would not only highlight their success but also serve as an inspiration for aspiring artists.
