Veteran actress and former ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos-Concio is making her highly anticipated return to ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ after a one-month hiatus.
Santos had taken a break from her role as Tindeng after temporarily losing her voice, which doctors attributed to exhaustion from her demanding schedule.
On her Instagram page, Santos-Concio shared her excitement to be back on set, posting behind-the-scenes photos with the cast and crew. “My voice is back, kaya balik na rin tayo sa set!” she wrote, adding, “Grabe, halos isang buwan na pala mula nung huling taping ko. Sobrang na-miss ko ang Quiapo, pati na rin ang buong cast, staff, at crew!”
Her Instagram Stories also captured her reunion with the production team, showcasing a clip of Santos with fellow cast members and crew on set. “Back on the Batang Quiapo set,” she captioned the video, highlighting her joy at returning to the role.
Santos temporarily stepped away from filming in October after experiencing a sudden loss of voice, which her doctors attributed to her back-to-back ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ tapings and her recent military training to become a Philippine Air Force reservist. Reflecting on the experience, Santos explained, “Isang umaga gumising na lang ako wala na akong boses. Tapos naisip ko, siguro dahil do’n sa back-to-back taping schedules ko ng Batang Quiapo at my military training, bumagsak na ‘yung immune system ko.”
In addition to her acting career, Santos has been active in public service, recently completing PAF reservist training, an accomplishment she proudly shared on social media. “Today marks my graduation from the PAF Reservist training—a journey that was as rewarding as it was challenging,” she said, adding that the experience deepened her sense of purpose and strengthened her commitment to serve the nation.
Santos’ return to ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ marks an exciting comeback for her character and fans alike, who have been eager to see her back in action.
