Veteran actress Charo Santos, currently starring in the hit series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ announced a temporary departure from the show due to voice loss.
Santos shared in an Instagram video on Monday, Nov. 4, that her doctor has advised her to completely rest her voice, prohibiting her from talking or even whispering.
“Isang umaga, gumising na lang ako wala na akong boses,” Santos recounted. She attributed her condition to the rigorous back-to-back filming schedule for ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ paired with the intense training she underwent in October as part of her commitment to join the Philippine Air Force (PAF) Reservist program.
During her recent training, Santos adapted to strict vocal rest by communicating with instructors via a whiteboard, following her doctor’s recommendation. “I was given strict instructions not to talk,” Santos said, expressing her struggle but relief after successfully completing the training.
Updating fans on her recovery, Santos shared, “Medyo bumabalik na ‘yung boses ko. Hopefully, by next week, makabalik na ako sa taping ng Batang Quiapo.” Santos thanked supporters and assured fans of her return to her role as Tindeng on the show.
