Kapuso actress and comedian Chariz Solomon recently opened up about a past incident involving a harassment accusation made against her by a former ‘Bubble Gang’ co-star.
During her appearance on the show ‘Lutong Bahay’ on November 6, Chariz was asked if there was anyone in the industry she would prefer not to work with again. Laughing, she replied, “At gusto kong sampalin?”
She then shared the story of a ‘Bubble Gang’ co-star who had accused her of harassment years ago. “Kahit hindi niyo i-bleep,” she joked, though the show ultimately chose to censor it.
Chariz explained that the incident took place during her first pregnancy with her son, Apollo. Reflecting on that time, she shared, “Mahabang istorya, pero buntis pa lang ako kay Apollo. Kasi nga, first time kong nabuntis, di ba, [yung] anxiety dinala mo sa trabaho.”
The actress recounted her surprise when she received a message from the male co-star, alleging she had harassed him.
“Pareho kaming nasa Bubble noon, pero siya yung regular, ako semi-reg. Tapos nag-message siya sa akin. Nag-email siya na sa tingin ko, siya iyon, pero sinasabi niya girlfriend niya. Sinabi niya hina-harass ko daw siya… sexually. As in type ko daw siya, gano’n,” Chariz said, adding that the accusation was entirely unfounded.
Chariz, who joined ‘Bubble Gang’ in 2010, did not provide further details about the accusation or the co-star’s reasons for making it.
However, she has since moved past the incident, noting that the experience was surprising but has not left any lasting resentment.
