Disney Studios Philippines has officially announced that actress and singer Belle Mariano will lend her voice to the Filipino version of the end credit song for the highly anticipated animated sequel, ‘Moana 2.’
The song, titled ‘Anong Daratnan’, is the Tagalog adaptation of ‘Beyond’, featured in the original film.
In a promotional video shared on Disney’s social media platforms on Friday, Mariano expressed her excitement about the project.
“Hi everyone, Belle here! And I can’t wait for you guys to hear ‘Anong Daratnan,’ a special end credit song for the Philippine movie release of Disney’s Moana 2. Abangan niyo ang music video and single dropping next week. Disney’s Moana 2 arrives in cinemas November 27. Book your tickets now,” said Mariano.
The announcement followed a behind-the-scenes teaser earlier this week, which hinted at the latest Filipino artist collaborating with Disney. Though the singer’s full face was initially obscured, fans quickly recognized the voice as Mariano’s, sparking excitement online.
‘Moana 2’ is set to debut in Philippine cinemas on November 27, continuing the beloved tale of the titular heroine’s journey. With Mariano performing the localized version of the song, Disney aims to create a deeper cultural connection with Filipino audiences.
Belle Mariano’s participation in this Disney project adds to her growing accolades as a recording artist. Apart from Moana 2, she is also gearing up for her latest series, ‘How to Spot a Red Flag,’ with on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan. The original Viu series will premiere on November 25, just days before the animated film hits theaters.
Mariano joins an esteemed list of Filipino talents who have collaborated with Disney over the years. The upcoming release of the ‘Anong Daratnan’ music video and single is expected to further showcase the talent and artistry of Filipino performers on a global stage.
