Despite the hardships, the star emphasized her growth, resilience, and renewed openness to life’s surprises.
In a heartfelt discussion with Dra. Aivee Teo on the latter’s YouTube vlog, Bea shared how she coped with her breakup from former fiancé Dominic Roque and the cancellation of their highly anticipated wedding.
“What I have learned this year is that when things don’t go according to plan, maybe it’s better to trust God’s plan because God’s plan are always better,” Bea said.
She admitted that life’s unexpected turns, while challenging, have also taught her valuable lessons. “You know sometimes, life in the universe can surprise you and you always have to be open to God’s surprises,” the actress added.
Bea described her approach to facing difficulties, sharing that she holds on to the belief that “this too shall pass.” She highlighted how fleeting both good and bad times can be, encouraging a balanced perspective.
“And when I look back, you know, parang ‘yung mga unexpected things ‘yung pinakamasasayang part ng buhay ko,” Bea remarked.
While she believes in setting goals and working hard, she also values spontaneity. “So, you know, it’s nice to plan and set goals of course. You do want a direction that you can follow, kung ano ‘yung gusto mong output ng buhay mo, at least, ‘yung resulta ng lahat ng hard work mo. But then, you know, you should always be open to surprises and be spontaneous and just live your life.”
“My God, this must be the hardest year of my life,” she shared to Dra. Aivee.
The award-winning actress shared how achieving a balance in her personal and professional life has contributed to her current happiness. “Maybe that’s why I’m much happier because I get to live my life,” she said.
Looking ahead, Bea is preparing for a fresh start in 2025. She revealed plans to spend the holidays with her family in Spain, where she recently purchased an apartment.
“We’re going to Spain but we might stop by Dubai, and then Madrid, and then pupunta ako ng London,” she shared.
Bea expressed her excitement for the coming year and her determination to achieve new milestones. “I have goals for 2025 that I wanna achieve. And I will be aggressive in like, really putting in the work to achieve those goals,” she said.
