Actor-comedian Awra Briguela has addressed allegations from netizens accusing her of having a foreign “sugar daddy.”
The rumors began after Awra shared a series of vacation photos and videos from her trip to Bohol on Instagram.
In his post, Awra expressed her love for the picturesque destination, captioning the photos: “Forever grateful for the memories and beauty of [B]ohol. [emojis] This place will always hold a special spot in my heart.”

One video in particular caught attention, showing Awra standing beside a foreigner who had his hand on Awra’s waist. This sparked speculation among followers, with comments suggesting a romantic connection.
Among the comments were: “Afam jowa niya,” and “Asukal de papa,” implying the foreigner was a “sugar daddy.” Another netizen asked directly, “Jowa mo na yan, bhe?”
In response, Awra clarified the relationship, stating: “Are you being for real right now?! That’s my uncle right there!! That’s my uncle’s husband and yes they’re married for almost 10 years now. So much hate. Lol.”
Awra also encouraged netizens to verify the information themselves by checking his uncle’s social media account.
