Actor and comedian Archie Alemania recently marked his 6th wedding anniversary with wife Gee Canlas on social media, but the post has since drawn a wave of comments following the recent filing of a sexual harassment complaint by his ‘Widow War’ co-star, Rita Daniela.
Allegations arose after a reported incident at a Thanksgiving party in September hosted at Bea Alonzo’s house. The event reportedly aligns with the date and location mentioned in Daniela’s affidavit filed with the Bacoor Prosecutor’s Office, in which she details the alleged inappropriate conduct by Alemania.
In his October 27 post, Alemania shared his gratitude to Gee, celebrating their anniversary with a message of appreciation for her gift of three pairs of shoes. He wrote, “What a way to end our 6th year anniversary day with the wifey surprising me with shoes… not just 1, 2 but 3 pairs!!! Mas lalo na kitang mahal hahaha dali mko pinakilig hahaha Happy 6th year anniversary and to many more ILY.”
However, instead of congratulations, the post has since been bombarded with comments referencing the ongoing controversy.
Since then, Alemania has reportedly disabled comments on his Instagram posts, while his wife Gee has not addressed the backlash directly.
Meanwhile, sources report that Alemania allegedly attempted to reach out to Daniela after the incident, sending an apology message and attributing his actions to alcohol consumption. Screenshots of these messages were reportedly submitted as part of Daniela’s affidavit.
