Kapuso actress Angelu de Leon recently concluded her role as Carmela Borromeo in GMA Network’s primetime series, ‘Pulang Araw.’
Her character, a pivotal figure in the storyline, was the strict mother of Teresita (Sanya Lopez) and a tormentor to siblings Adelina (Barbie Forteza) and Eduardo (Alden Richards).
Following the dramatic exit of her character, Angelu expressed her gratitude and reflections in a heartfelt Facebook post.
“Carmela Borromeo signing off. Taos pusong pasasalamat at paghanga sa lahat ng bumubuo ng Pulang Araw. Maraming salamat at pinagkatiwala ninyo po sa akin ang karakter ni Carmela Borromeo,” she wrote.
Angelu extended her appreciation to the cast, crew, and the entire production team of the show, acknowledging the opportunity to portray a role that resonated deeply with audiences.
“Isang karangalan ang mapabilang sa Pulang Araw hindi lamang bilang isang artista kundi bilang isang Filipino. Nawa’y mahalin natin ang ating bansang Pilipinas,” she added.
