Comedienne Aiai delas Alas didn’t hold back in addressing the recent remarks from controversial content creator Chloe San Jose, with director Darryl Yap and Aiai’s daughter, Sophia delas Alas, firmly on her side.
The issue arose after Aiai commented on Chloe’s involvement in Carlos Yulo’s family disputes, particularly with his mother, Angelica Yulo. Aiai’s statement, where she reminded Chloe that she’s “just a girlfriend,” sparked a heated online exchange.
In our interview, Ai Ai advised Chloe to maintain respect for Carlos’ mother, saying: “Kung wala yung nanay niya, wala kang darling ngayon. Kaya, girl, huwag mo siyang aawayin. Tsaka hindi ka pa asawa, girl. Girlfriend ka pa lang.”
Chloe responded by sharing an article about Aiai’s statement and referencing the comedienne’s separation from her husband, Gerald Sibayan. Chloe’s caption read: “Back to you Mamang, hindi para pagtawanan ang sitwasyon mo pero ang ginagawa mo sa iba ay babalik din sa’yo ng 10x—it’s just the universe’s law.”

Director Darryl Yap, a close friend of Aiai, defended the comedienne by reposting an art card featuring the exchange. Known for his no-holds-barred comments, Yap captioned his post: “Sali nyo naman ako sa away nyo. Matapang din naman ako eh. Ano kayang kinaoffend ni Goldie sa sinabi ni Mama Ai na ‘Girlfriend ka pa lang’? Ano ba gusto niya? TREASURER?”
Aiai replied to Yap’s post, adding humor to the escalating feud: “Hahahahaha. Baby D… nakupo di ka nya kaya pati yang anak ko. Nakupo ulit!”
Aiai’s daughter, Sophia delas Alas, also took to social media to confront Chloe directly. In the comments section of Chloe’s post, Sophia issued a bold challenge: “Matapang ka? Public mo naman post mo regarding my mom. Kita tayo sa Manila? Matapang ka eh.”
Sophia further questioned Chloe’s reaction to her mother’s “girlfriend” remark, saying: “Girlfriend ka LANG naman talaga so why do you find it offensive? Lol, wag lang kita makita sa Manila baka ako naman ang magdala sayo ng karma, girl.”
Chloe chose to de-escalate the situation, responding simply: “Messaged you love (smiling face with hearts emoji).”
The ongoing feud has sparked widespread attention on social media, with netizens offering mixed reactions. Many sided with Ai Ai, commending her for speaking from experience as a mother, while others applauded Chloe for standing her ground.
This public spat, fueled by social media interactions, continues to keep fans engaged and intrigued. Whether the issue will lead to reconciliation or further exchanges remains to be seen. One thing is clear: Aiai delas Alas and her allies are ready to defend their ground.
