Sellers in storm-hit Bicol to get cashback as aid from fast-rising e-commerce app Enstack

In response to the devastation caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, e-commerce platform Enstack will provide cashback assistance to its merchants in the Bicol Region to help them recover and rebuild their businesses.

Enstack, a rapidly growing all-in-one online store builder, has become a vital platform for nearly 200,000 entrepreneurs since its launch in October 2022, offering tools that enable them to manage their businesses through the app 100%.

“Our motivation stems from the profound impact of the storm on our merchants’ livelihoods. At Enstack, we see our role as more than just providing tools for business, but as partners who stand by our sellers, especially during difficult times. Offering cashback assistance is our way of directly alleviating some of the financial strain they’re facing,” Enstack CEO and co-founder Macy Castillo said.

The special cashback program is available for orders made in the Enstack app of business owners based in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Catanduanes from October 24 to November 30. The pickup address on the app must be set in these provinces.

The orders that will qualify are those made using Enstack selling tools (Web Store, Cashier, and Keypad) and utilizing either Enstack-integrated payment options (Cash on Delivery, E-wallets, direct debit options, credit card, etc.) or Enstack-integrated shipping options (Enstack Standard or Enstack Same Day Shipping).

Sellers can receive 3% cashback on the net price of items they sold from October 24 to November 30 (up to ₱20,000 for all items sold and delivered), helping alleviate some of their financial strain.

For example, if the item’s value is ₱10,000, after applying a ₱1,000 merchant discount and a ₱500 buyer’s voucher, the net item price would be ₱8,500. The 3% cashback would then amount to ₱255 (₱8,500 x 3%).

“We realize that for small businesses, every cent counts, and even the smallest margins can make a big difference. That’s why we’ve made our cashback program more impactful, offering 3%—which is on the higher end—because we know how crucial extra support can be in their recovery efforts. We want them to know that we’re here to help them get back on their feet, because their success is ultimately our success as well,” Castillo emphasized.

Orders delivered or in transit by December 10 will qualify for cashback.

“We fully recognize that the storm caused disruptions, and we’re here to provide the necessary support to our affected merchants,” Castillo said. “The Enstack team is available 24/7 to help with any shipping or processing challenges you may encounter. Our goal is to ensure that this process is as smooth and supportive as possible.”

The cashback will be credited to sellers’ Enstack wallets on December 16-17.

While the cashback program is a short-term relief effort, Castillo said Enstack’s long-term plan is to equip the merchants with more advanced tools and seller education initiatives to enhance their resilience and sustainability.

Enstack will also introduce features that simplify operations, from better cash flow management options to enhanced marketing tools, ensuring that its merchants not only recover but thrive in the future.

“Our hearts go out to those facing unforeseen challenges. We are hoping this small gesture will contribute to the rebuilding process. We are committed to standing by you as you restore your business and serve your community,” Castillo added.
