Actor Sandro Muhlach has firmly denied rumors of a settlement regarding the case he filed against independent contractors of GMA Network, whom he accused of abuse.
Muhlach filed a complaint of rape through sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness against contractors Nones and Cruz at the Department of Justice (DOJ) on August 19. In response, Nones and Cruz have formally submitted their joint counter-affidavit, denying the allegations made against them.
Speculation has been circulating online about the progress of the case, but Muhlach took to Instagram to clear things up, stating that the legal battle is ongoing and no financial settlement has been reached.
In his Instagram story, Muhlach shared a screenshot of netizens’ comments, addressing the rumors directly. “Still waiting for the resolution of DOJ and GMA Legal. Hindi po ako binayaran and never po ako magpapabayad for settlement,” Muhlach wrote.
“Kahit po kami ng legal team ko naghihintay sa case. Wag niyo po pangunahan lahat. I will not be silenced. Just wait. We have more yet to reveal.”
The case has also attracted attention in the Senate, where it is being investigated as part of a broader probe into sexual abuse in the entertainment industry. During one of the Senate hearings, Muhlach recounted how he was allegedly molested and taught to use illegal drugs by Jojo Tawasil Nones and Richard Dode Cruz after the GMA Gala on July 20.
Additionally, Muhlach has filed a human resources (HR) complaint against the independent contractors at GMA Network.
In another post, Muhlach shared a video of his mother, Edith Millare, explaining why Sandro seems positive and cheerful despite the trauma. Millare emphasized that their family’s love has been crucial to his recovery but clarified that this does not mean they have forgotten the ongoing legal struggle.
Muhlach reiterated his determination to pursue justice, assuring the public that he will continue to fight for what is right. “We are not backing down,” he said, making it clear that he will persist until the case reaches its resolution.
