It has obliterated records set by the popular shows like FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, and Miss Universe Philippines.
Phenomenal! The word doesn’t even sound perfectly fitting for the recently-concluded Big Night of the most recent season of the most popular reality TV show in the country, Pinoy Big Brother. With Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ending, it also left a stunning national record that will probably take much longer than one would think, before it gets broken again.
On YouTube, alone, the Big Night episode, nearly hit 2 million, with 1.978 million live concurrent viewers. FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, the most watched Filipino TV show on this platform, peaked at just 778k live concurrent viewers (October 4). Combining viewers from both YouTube and Facebook, PBB Gen 11 surged above 2.2 million, an enormous number that’s more than twice the peak live concurrent viewers that Batang Quiapo has ever achieved.
The record is also more than thrice bigger than the record set by Miss Universe Philippines coronation night, in 2023, which drew in 623k peak concurrent viewers. Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 now holds the record for highest live concurrent viewership by any Filipino content streamed on YouTube.
The declared Big Winner of this season is Fyang Smith from Mandaluyong.
