The girl group is one of Alcasid’s major guests in his upcoming OgieOke2: Reimagined concert.
“I hope they’re enjoying it more, ” OPM Chief Ogie Alcasid said, when asked about what piece of advice on handling success and popularity he would want to give to girl group, BINI.
During the press conference for his concert, held at the Kamuning Bakery Cafe, last Friday, October 25, the seasoned and award-winning singer-songwriter had the chance to talk about the friendship he developed with the girls.
Having been in the business for decades, Alcasid was confident to say he had mastered the ‘art of dedma’, everytime pressure hit him hard. It’s the same piece of advice he would want to give to BINI, whom he admires and gets inspiration from because of their massive success.
“If I were to give them a (piece of) advice, I think I would like to enjoy what they’re having right now more. I’m not sure if they are—I haven’t talked to them that way. Siguro sa rehearsal, tatanungin ko…” he shared.
He added that he want the girls to forget it’s a job they’re doing and just enjoy it, “I want them to enjoy it more, kasi mahirap ‘yung trabaho ka lang nang trabaho, tapos trabaho na lang lahat sayo, ”.
He then reminded the girls to not get pressured by demands of the job, and to stay away from the negative energies from social media “I’m hoping they’re enjoying it more and not be pressured by anything else, by the demands of the job, and by social media…” he shared.
Alcasid revealed that he is planning to do more OgieOke concerts in the coming year, as he finds balance in producing concerts for other artists and performing in his own concert.
