Superstar Nora Aunor reached out to Boss Toyo for assistance with a fundraising drive for Bicolanos affected by Typhoon Kristine.
During a visit to Toyo’s shop, Aunor brought a prized possession—a white dress she wore during her iconic win at the grand finals of ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ in 1967.
Although the actress clarified that the dress was not for sale, she allowed Toyo to examine the historic item. Toyo, a well-known collector, valued the dress at P5 million, expressing his willingness to display it in his museum should Aunor change her mind.
Aunor, however, mentioned her intention to keep the dress in a museum of her own, due to its significance.
Aunor, who is currently running as the second nominee for the People’s Champ Party List in the 2025 elections, shared her primary mission of seeking help for her hometown, which suffered significant damage from Typhoon Kristine.
She also mentioned sorting through her own clothing for donations to send to Bicol.
In support, Boss Toyo pledged P250,000 to Aunor’s fundraising efforts, expressing admiration for her dedication to helping her fellow Bicolanos. Aunor warmly thanked him, further underscoring her commitment to her hometown in these challenging times.
