Actress Kylie Padilla shared her views on the essential traits of a leader on October 7 via her verified Facebook page, highlighting the importance of family, values, and loyalty.
In her post, Padilla emphasized that true leadership begins at home, with a man’s ability to guide his family and instill good morals in his children, while remaining faithful to his spouse.
“A great indicator of a good leader is a man who can lead his family. That is his first unit, his first community. A man who raises his kids with good values, integrity and humility. A man loyal to his wife and remains true despite obstacles. A man who has a heart close to God. Service is about what you can do for others, not what they can do for you,” she stated.
On the same day, her ex-husband Aljur Abrenica filed his certificate of candidacy to run for councilor in Angeles City, making headlines.
Although Kylie did not name anyone in her post, many netizens speculated that her message could be linked to Abrenica, with several tagging him in the comments.
Abrenica, who is transitioning from acting to public service, explained that his candidacy is his way of giving back to the people of Angeles City, who have supported his career over the years.
The couple separated in 2021 following rumors of Abrenica’s involvement with actress AJ Raval, who is now his current partner.
