Content creator Kween Yasmin made waves on social media after addressing questions about her potential involvement in politics, especially with several celebrities and social media personalities throwing their hats into the 2025 midterm elections.
Amid a surge of vloggers and online influencers, including Diwata and Rosmar Tan, filing their Certificates of Candidacy (COCs), Kween Yasmin was asked by her followers if she, too, had considered entering the political arena. Known for her humorous and lighthearted content, Yasmin did not hesitate to express her firm stance.
In a post on her social media account, she bluntly responded with a “no,” explaining that the responsibilities of being a politician and public servant are not to be taken lightly.
“Your honor, hindi po. Kasi kailangan kapag tatakbo ka, alam mo ‘yung possibilities, ‘yung alituntunin, ‘yung gusto mong ipatakbo,” she said, stressing that running for office requires full commitment and knowledge of the duties at hand.
She further elaborated, “Hindi ‘yung sinabihan ka lang, tatakbo ka na. Kailangan desido ka talaga kasi buhay ang nakasalalay diyan. Pangalan mo nakasalalay diyan, maraming tao. Maraming mga mamamayang Pilipino ang nangangailangan.”
