Kapuso actress Katrina Halili recently reflected on her career journey and the invaluable support she received from GMA Network following a personal controversy years ago.
In an interview on ‘Updated with Nelson Canlas,’ Halili expressed gratitude to GMA Network for standing by her and helping her rebuild her career during one of the most challenging times in her life.
Halili admitted that the scandal marked a difficult chapter, but she is thankful she managed to overcome it and move forward.
She also acknowledged her own mistakes during that period, emphasizing the importance of self-forgiveness.
Halili revealed that at the height of the controversy, she felt her career was “dead” and even considered leaving GMA Network to avoid public criticism.
However, the network encouraged her to stay, assigning her the role in Rosalinda, which helped her focus on her career rather than the issue. “So nagpapaalam ako, pero sobrang ‘yung GMA, ayaw nila akong pakawalan. So, binigyan pa rin nila ako ng work, iyon ‘yung Rosalinda,” she said.
Since then, Halili’s career has continued to thrive with roles in projects like ‘Black Rider’ and the upcoming series ‘Mommy Dearest.’ Reflecting on the journey, she expressed appreciation for GMA Network’s trust. Okay pa din ako,” she concluded.
