Two GMA Network programs wrapped up last week: the high-rating afternoon drama “Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (AKNP)” and the weekly fantasy series “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko (DKNLK).” How did they fare in the TV ratings?
According to recent Nielsen NUTAM People ratings, both shows performed well, landing in the country’s overall top 10 programs.
On Saturday, October 19, AKNP closed with a finale rating of 9.6%, securing the third spot in the overall ratings and ranking as the top daytime program in the Philippines. On that day, AKNP tied with Magpakailanman, the long-running Kapuso drama anthology.
In its final episode, Moira and Lyneth faced off in a dramatic confrontation. Moira detained Lyneth in a storage room rigged with bombs, but Lyneth managed to escape, leaving Moira to meet a tragic end. AKNP ended after more than two years on air, totaling 659 episodes.
Meanwhile, DKNLK earned a finale rating of 5.5%, placing ninth on the overall ratings chart.
In DKNLK’s finale, Gigi (Ai-Ai Delas Alas) and Sola (Claire Castro) found true friendship after facing numerous challenges through their adventures as coconut vendors. With Sola’s help, Gigi reunited with her son to celebrate Christmas, while Sola reconciled with her friend Tina.
