Before rising to fame as part of the chart-topping P-Pop group SB19, vocalist and choreographer Stell Ajero once worked as a McDonald’s service crew member.
This personal revelation was shared during SB19’s fan meet held at Robinsons Manila on September 14, 2024, where the group was introduced as the newest endorsers of the fast-food giant.
During the event, Stell fondly recalled his time working at McDonald’s.
When asked why the restaurant holds a special place in his heart, he explained, “Bakit ko binabalik-balikan ang McDo? Siguro naman, a lot of you know na naging crew [member] ako… Nagpa-package ako.”
He shared how his past job brought back memories of his struggles before finding success in the entertainment industry.
“Every time na binabalik-balikan ko ‘yung memory na ‘yun, naaalala ko lahat ng hardships, lahat ng mga nangyari sa akin before,” Stell reflected, emphasizing how those experiences shaped him.
He also reminisced about his childhood, recalling how he collected McDonald’s toys but couldn’t complete his favorite set due to financial limitations. Now, as an endorser for the brand, Stell expressed how surreal it is to see his journey come full circle.
“Grabe ‘yung 360-degree turn, from crew, tapos ngayon endorser,” he said in awe.
