GMA Network’s cooking talk show, ‘Sarap, ‘Di Ba?,’ is reported to conclude in October 2024.
The show, which has been a staple of Saturday mornings, features hosts Carmina Villarroel and her twins, Mavy and Cassy Legaspi.
Production staff and crew were informed last week about the show’s upcoming end, which has been met with sadness. For 12 years, ‘Sarap, ‘Di Ba?’ has been an integral part of their professional lives.
The show will continue to air until October 2024, thanks to previously taped episodes. It originally premiered as ‘Sarap Diva’ on October 6, 2012, with Regine Velasquez as its host. Velasquez led the program until 2018, when she moved to ABS-CBN.
Carmina Villarroel took over as host on October 17, 2018, leading to the show’s rebranding as ‘Sarap, ‘Di Ba?.’ With the addition of her twins, Mavy and Cassy, the show not only continued its success but also became a platform for the twins’ entry into the entertainment industry.
While GMA Network has not officially announced the show’s end, speculation suggests that a new variety program may replace ‘Sarap, ‘Di Ba?’ in its time slot. As the show nears its final episodes, there is expected to be a period of reflection on its significant impact and memorable run.
