Kapuso actor Paolo Contis has expressed dismay after the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) gave his film ‘Dear Satan’ an “X” rating, preventing its public release.
The actor’s manager, Lolit Solis, shared the news via Instagram, revealing that Contis had not anticipated the controversy surrounding the film. Initially titled ‘Dear Santa,’ the movie features Contis in the role of a “kind-hearted Satan.”
Solis also lamented that despite Contis’ talents, he hasn’t been cast in more dramatic roles, as he is currently thriving in comedy through GMA Network’s ‘Bubble Gang.’
There has been no official word yet on whether ‘Dear Satan’ will be revised in order to meet the MTRCB’s standards for public screening.
