Mark Andrew Yulo, father of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, has brought to light alleged tensions between his son’s girlfriend, content creator Chloe San Jose, and the Yulo family.
In a series of posts on social media, Mark Andrew shared screenshots and claims of disrespectful behavior by San Jose towards Carlos’ mother, Angelica Yulo, further intensifying the public family dispute.
The posts, initially shared by family friend Gerald Fajardo, include screenshots from a group chat that reportedly features Chloe, Angelica, and other members of the Yulo family.

In one message, San Jose allegedly called Angelica a “coward” for making indirect remarks on social media, while avoiding confrontation. She also reportedly made derogatory comparisons of Angelica’s behavior, likening her to a harmless fish at church but a menacing shark at home.
Additional screenshots suggest that both Chloe and Carlos referred to someone as a “thief” and a “liar” in a social media post, with many speculating that the remarks were directed at Angelica. Fajardo’s post also included allegations that Chloe belittled the Yulo family, sold Carlos a laptop for P50,000 but continued using it herself, and played a role in distancing the gymnast from his family.
The post goes further, accusing Chloe of manipulating Carlos and encouraging him to confront his mother, resulting in Carlos allegedly yelling at and accusing Angelica of theft and dishonesty. Fajardo also questioned Chloe’s claim that she and Carlos had already forgiven his family, challenging her sincerity and suggesting that her actions were aimed at isolating Carlos.
Fajardo concluded by warning Chloe that her influence over Carlos might not last indefinitely, stating, “Hindi laging nasa iyo ang ilaw, hindi laging na kay Caloy ang liwanag.”
As of this writing, neither Carlos Yulo nor his mother, Angelica, has made a public response to the controversy. Carlos and Chloe were last seen together in Paris, sharing posts of their time abroad, appearing unaffected by the ongoing family drama.
