Liza Soberano has officially parted ways with Careless Music Management, the agency founded by James Reid.
The management group confirmed the separation in an Instagram story, stating that Soberano’s contract ended on July 29, 2024.
The brief announcement read, “Liza Soberano is no longer under Careless Music Management effective July 29, 2024. It has been a pleasure to have represented her, and we wish her the best in all of her endeavors.”
Soberano’s departure marks the end of a nearly two-year association with Careless. When she joined the agency, she expressed excitement about the opportunity to work with a team that offered “creative freedom and control,” following her split from her former manager, Ogie Diaz, amid public discussions about her talent fee.
Despite the initial enthusiasm, recent reports suggest there were communication issues between Soberano and Reid. Additionally, Soberano reportedly took issue with Reid’s recent comments about a possible film project together.
Looking ahead, Soberano is now represented by Max Nagler of Verve Talent & Literary Agency in the United States. Nagler announced on his LinkedIn profile, “Thrilled to now be representing Liza Soberano at Verve for commercial endorsements and brand partnerships.”
