Kyline Alcantara and Kate Valdez are raising the stakes in GMA Network’s newest teleserye, the Philippine adaptation of the popular Korean drama ‘Shining Inheritance,’ with their intense and realistic fight scenes.
In this highly anticipated series, Kyline takes on the role of the kontrabida, bringing tension and drama to Kate’s character through numerous gripping confrontation scenes. Fans can expect powerful performances from both actresses, who are set to deliver scenes that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
During the media conference for ‘Shining Inheritance’ held last Friday, August 30, Kyline shared her thoughts on returning to a kontrabida role, a part she once found to be her comfort zone.
Interestingly, Kyline herself requested to return to a kontrabida role, expressing how much she missed the challenge it presents. In ‘Shining Inheritance,’ she plays Joanna De La Costa, a character she describes as deeply complex.
“Joanna is really complicated, sobra. And Joanna’s feisty, she’s aggressive also.
The actress also talked about how she and Kate prepare for their physically demanding scenes.
Despite their professionalism, the physical nature of the scenes sometimes leads to minor injuries. So alam namin na trabaho ‘to,” Kyline noted.
‘Shining Inheritance,’ directed by Jorron Lee Monroy, will premiere on September 9 on GMA Afternoon Prime. The series also stars Michael Sager, Paul Salas, Wendell Ramos, Glydel Mercado, Aubrey Miles, Roxie Smith, Seth Dela Cruz, and Charlize Ruth Reyes.
