The new record comes on the heels of the previous set by Dylan Ytturalde’s eviction last week, September 14.
Only 8 housemates remain inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, and it is not surprising that the biggest twists and turns of this season are happening, just weeks before the much-anticipated Big Night or finale. After Ytturalde’s shocking eviction last week, now, it is Dudley-Scales’ turn. Who would have thought, right? She was definitely a frontrunner. Fellow nominees, Kolette Modelo and JM Ibarra, bested her.
But what keeps proving that this edition of Pinoy Big Brother is no doubt the most successful and most talked about one, post-franchise denial era, is how it manages to generate stellar numbers both in the ratings and online concurrent viewership games. Last Friday, September 13, the show logged an impressive 4.2 people rating, taking down traditionally-winning Kapuso newscast, Saksi. That episode also notably peaked at a record-breaking concurrent viewership of 351k, highest for a weekday TV show, on that timeslot.
Saturday numbers, however, are far more impressive, as both Ytturalde and Dudley-Scales’ eviction episodes drew record-breaking figures. The latest, Dudley-Scales exit, saw a whopping 510k live viewers on YouTube, alone, while more than 31k tuned in on Facebook. At 541k peak live concurrent viewers, Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 could actually rival FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. Wow!
With only a few weeks left, one could only imagine that it won’t take long before new records are made. Who’s going to exit next? Hmm. Interesting. All the remaining housemates have developed strong following outside the house, but fans are unpredictable, and one could only hope their bets stay inside the house until the Big Night!
