Kapuso actress and beauty queen Herlene Budol expressed her support and gratitude for Dr. Willie Ong after he revealed his battle with abdominal cancer.
Budol, who has previously credited Dr. Ong for helping her through health challenges, took to social media to share her well-wishes and prayers for the renowned doctor’s recovery.
In a video posted on Facebook last September 14, Dr. Ong disclosed that he has been diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that develops in the body’s connective tissues, including muscles, bones, tendons, and cartilage. The tumor, located behind his heart and in front of his spine, has grown to 16x13x12 centimeters, and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Following the announcement, Budol posted a TikTok video in which she recalled how Dr. Ong’s medical advice helped her recover from a severe case of hemorrhoids. According to the actress, she was struggling with daily bleeding caused by stress until she followed Dr. Ong’s recommendation to eat fiber-rich fruits that start with the letter “P,” which helped her manage her symptoms.
Budol continued by sharing how much she looks up to Dr. Ong’s medical expertise, saying she often watches his videos for advice on various health issues, including gout, asthma, and headaches.
In her message, Budol added a humorous note: “Bigyan kita ng tip Doc Willie Ong, panoorin niyo po yung sarili niyo, marami po kayong mapupulot du’n.
