Grae Fernandez has been earning praise for his remarkable acting in ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series ‘Pamilya Sagrado,’ where he’s showcased his skills alongside seasoned actors.
The young actor, son of Mark Anthony Fernandez, has been lauded not only by viewers but also by his co-stars, including Piolo Pascual, for his strong performances.
During a press conference for the series’ upcoming Book 2, Grae expressed his gratitude for the positive feedback. “Ang laki ng pasasalamat ko sa audience natin kasi yung story talaga very impactful, sobrang relevant po sa society. Lalo na po dito sa Pilipinas kasi lahat ng pinapakita namin is very accurate,” he shared.
When asked if he is prepared to take on more mature or daring roles, Grae carefully considered the question, seeking clarification on what “mature and sexy” entails. When examples like erotic thrillers or sex dramas were brought up, Grae explained that while he is open to such roles, they must serve a deeper purpose.
“If it’s to serve the purpose of the label…the sex or erotic, of course not. Pero if it’s a good story pero may sinasabi and has that aspect, of course, you know, why not,” Grae explained. He emphasized that his priority is on roles with substance, noting, “Pero let’s say action for the sake of action or romcom for the sake of romcom, it has to be a story na may masasabi talaga at may pino-portray kayo na totoo.”
Grae further elaborated that his focus is on roles with depth and purpose, saying, “For example you have a role, theoretically speaking, na it’s a position of power, you’re sexually abused or something like that, and there are scenes that are very sensitive in that sense kung may masasabi ka talaga about reality, I mean I’m game to that for the sake of this art. Not specifically for a theme.”
‘Pamilya Sagrado’ Book 2 is now airing in its new primetime slot at 9:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN’s platforms, under Dreamscape Entertainment.
