Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil is reportedly still hopeful that his former on-screen partner and ex-girlfriend, Liza Soberano, will eventually return to the Philippine entertainment industry.
The issue came up during a discussion on Ogie Diaz’s online show, where he and his co-hosts, Mama Loi and Tita Jegs, tackled rumors about Liza’s recent moves in her career, particularly her rumored exit from James Reid’s Careless Management. Ogie noted that Liza unfollowed the management on Instagram, sparking questions about whether their professional relationship had ended.
According to Ogie, there are rumors that Liza and James are no longer on good terms, and the situation could be linked to former Careless CEO Jeffrey Oh, who was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration last year.
“Ang balita natin ay si Liza ay nandoon at naniniwala kay Jeffrey Oh na ngayon yata ay nasa US of A,” Ogie revealed during the discussion.

Tita Jegs chimed in, claiming that Liza and Jeffrey are romantically involved, a rumor that has been circulating for some time but remains unverified.
“Hindi ko alam, kasi ‘yan din ang balita ko,” Ogie added. “Eh, kasi wala namang problema kung pareho naman silang single.”
In the conversation, Enrique Gil’s future with Liza came up, with Mama Loi asking about the state of their love team, LizQuen. Ogie reassured fans that they shouldn’t lose hope, suggesting that anything could happen.
“Puwedeng mabago ‘yung takbo ng isip ni Liza at bumalik siya rito at maging magkapareha ulit sila ni Enrique,” Ogie said. He further explained that Enrique still harbors deep feelings for Liza.
“Feeling ko, ha, nag-iintay lang din naman si Enrique kay Liza dahil grabe, ang lalim ng pagmamahal ni Enrique kay Liza,” Ogie added.
However, Ogie also reiterated that, as of his latest updates, the two are no longer together romantically. “’Di ba noon pa? Kaya nga ako binash nang binash ng LizQuen fans dahil bakit ko raw pinangungunahan ‘yung dalawa. Eh, ‘yun naman ang balita. Wala na sila,” Ogie confirmed.
Despite their separation, Ogie expressed confidence that Liza could still make a successful return to Philippine showbiz if she chooses to. “Basta ‘yung dating Liza ay maramdaman ulit ng fans,” he said.
As for Enrique, he was previously reported to be working on a teleserye with ABS-CBN after signing a new contract following his role in the film ‘I Am Not Big Bird,’ which premiered in February. However, there has been little news about the teleserye, and rumors suggest that he may have been replaced in an earlier-announced project featuring other leading Kapamilya actors.
Currently, there are no reports of any upcoming local projects for Liza Soberano, leaving fans to eagerly wait for what’s next in her career path.
