Barbie Imperial has made headlines after stepping away for now from her role in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ to join Richard Gutierrez in Italy, where he is currently filming with Daniel Padilla for their new series.
Reports indicate that Barbie was scheduled for a taping but had to cancel due to her travels abroad.
This revelation was brought to light by showbiz commentator Ogie Diaz during the latest episode of their ‘Showbiz Update’ vlog, aired on September 23. Ogie shared a video showing Barbie and Richard together in Italy, clarifying that Barbie is not part of the ‘Incognito’ series featuring Richard and Daniel.
Despite the lack of a formal statement regarding their relationship, Ogie hinted at a romantic connection, noting, “Wala naman silang dini-deny tungkol sa relasyon nila.” When co-host Mama Loi inquired whether the relationship had been officially confirmed, Ogie replied, “Alam ko namang sila naman talaga at makikita mo naman do’n (sa Italy).”

Mama Loi expressed curiosity over Barbie’s unexpected trip to Italy, especially since she is not involved in the “Incognito” series. Ogie addressed this, saying, “Bakit nandoon si Barbie Imperial sa Italy, e, hindi naman siya kasama sa Incognito?” He assured viewers that while Barbie may have temporarily exited ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ she is expected to return to the show.
In a broader context, Ogie also touched on Richard’s estranged wife, Sarah Lahbati, revealing he dreamt that they were working towards finalizing their annulment. He emphasized the need for co-parenting between Richard and Sarah for the benefit of their two children.
