Veteran TV host Willie Revillame has strongly denied circulating rumors that his game show ‘Wil To Win’ is on the verge of being axed by TV5.
In a statement during a recent episode, Revillame assured his audience that the show will continue despite the gossip.
Addressing the rumors directly, Revillame said, “Kaya nga itong programang ito, maraming tsismis. Sandali lang daw.”
He further emphasized his commitment to the show, declaring, “Hindi ako papayag na mahinto ito. Gagawa ako ng paraan. Kahit magbenta ako ng ari-arian ko, tuloy-tuloy ang programang ito!”
According to sources close to the production, the rumors of the show’s cancellation are completely unfounded. A show insider confirmed that ‘Wil To Win’ is secured by a three-year contract with TV5, which prevents the network from abruptly ending the show.
The partnership between Revillame and MediaQuest, TV5’s parent company, ensures the program’s continuity, with potential for extension beyond the initial term.
The speculation surrounding the show’s fate has been so widespread that even Jon Montesa, a key figure in the production, took to social media to debunk the rumors, simply stating, “Not true.”
Support for Revillame from MediaQuest remains strong, with insiders revealing that the network is not concerned about the show’s ratings. This backing further solidifies the program’s place on the TV5 lineup.
‘Wil To Win’ premiered on July 14, marking Revillame’s return to TV5 after an 11-year break. His previous shows on the network included ‘Willing Willie,’ ‘Wil Time Bigtime,’ and ‘Wowowillie,’ which aired from October 2010 to October 2013.
