Kapuso star Sandro Muhlach has formally accused two independent contractors of GMA Network, Jojo Tawasil Nones and Richard Dode Cruz, of misconduct.
The network confirmed receiving the complaint on Thursday and stated that an investigation is already underway.
“GMA Network has just received a formal complaint from Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach against two GMA independent contractors, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz,” the network announced. “Recognizing the seriousness of the alleged incident, GMA Network had already initiated its own investigation even before receiving the formal complaint.”
The network emphasized its commitment to a fair and impartial investigation. “Respecting Sandro’s request for confidentiality, the investigating body will withhold all details of the formal investigation until its conclusion,” the statement read. “The Network assures the public and all stakeholders of its commitment to conducting this investigation with the highest standards of fairness and impartiality.”
Reports suggest that Sandro, the son of actor-businessman and former child star Niño Muhlach, was allegedly sexually harassed by the two men during the GMA Gala 2024 at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City last July.
Niño Muhlach previously sparked controversy with a cryptic Facebook post saying: “Inumpisahan nyo! Tatapusin ko”
Niño’s wife, Dianne Abby Tupaz, also voiced her outrage and determination to seek justice.
