realme has generated buzz with its latest teaser for an upcoming smartphone series, promising significant camera innovations.
On its official Facebook page, the company posted a tagline, “We are quite confident about this one,” accompanied by a camera emoji and the intriguing phrase, “Get ready to put a #DSLRinYourPocket.”
The post concluded with a launch date of August 21, 2024, hinting at the arrival of the realme 13 Pro Series in the Philippines.
The realme 13 Pro Series is expected to make waves with its advanced camera capabilities. The flagship model, the realme 13 Pro+, is set to feature a pioneering 50MP Sony LYT-701 main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)—a first for smartphones. Additionally, it will include a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor on a periscope telephoto lens, offering 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and up to 120x SuperZoom.
The realme 13 Pro, while slightly less advanced, will still deliver strong camera performance with its 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with OIS. It replaces the telephoto lens found in previous models with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and an LED flash.
Both models will come equipped with AI-driven features such as AI Ultra Clarity for improved image resolution and clarity in low-light conditions, AI Smart Removal, Group Photo Enhance, and AI Audio Zoom.
Design-wise, the phones will showcase a Luxury Watch-inspired camera island with Golden or Purple accents beneath the sensor and LED flash. The series will be available in Gold and Monet Purple with a glass back, and an Emerald Green variant featuring faux leather.
The realme 13 Pro Series will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Under the hood, the devices will be powered by a 2.4GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen octa-core processor and Adreno GPU, with options for 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The smartphones will come with a 5,200mAh battery, supporting either 45W or 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. They are also IP65-rated for dust and water resistance and will feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio support.
Connectivity options will include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, and dual SIM support. Both models will run on Android 14 with the realmeUI 5.0 interface.
