Singer and actor MJ Cayabyab has officially confirmed his resignation from the TV show ‘Wil To Win,’ hosted by Willie Revillame.
On August 21, Cayabyab announced his departure via his X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “For those who are messaging me ‘bakit wala kana sa Wil To Win as co host’ Nag Resign na po ako for some personal reason.” He reassured his followers, saying, “But thankyou guys for your concern. I am okay. Thankyou everyone.”

Cayabyab did not provide further details about the personal reasons behind his decision. His exit comes amid recent controversies involving the show, particularly Willie Revillame’s on-air reprimands directed at the hosts and production team for various mistakes.
Revillame has clarified that his intention is to improve the show’s quality, though some viewers believe such criticisms should be handled privately to avoid public embarrassment.
Despite Cayabyab’s resignation, the show continues with co-hosts Ana Ramsey, Cindy Miranda, Roberta Tamondong, Boobsie, and Sam Versoza.
Just last July, Cayabyab had shared his enthusiasm for joining ‘Wil To Win’ on his X account, expressing gratitude and excitement about his new role. He wrote, “As your new Co-host of Wil To Win! Malapit na sa Tv5. Thankyou kuya wil. Excited na magpasaya ng milyon milyong Pilipino #WilToWin.”

Willie Revillame had previously discussed on the show how he and Cayabyab met and how Cayabyab was persuaded to audition, despite initial self-doubt about his ability to fit the role.
