The Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime” has seen a dip in its ratings, according to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey. Despite this decline, it continues to lead its timeslot, consistently outperforming its rival ‘EAT…Bulaga’.
On Monday, July 29, “It’s Showtime” garnered a rating of 7.5 percent, down by 1.2 percent from its previous episode’s 8.7 percent. In comparison, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ registered a rating of 3.4 percent.
The following day, Tuesday, July 30, “It’s Showtime” saw a further decrease, slipping by 0.2 percent to 7.3 percent, placing 8th on the overall ratings board. Meanwhile, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ improved slightly, reaching 4.3 percent, but still fell short of overtaking its competitor.
On Wednesday, July 31, the downward trend continued for “It’s Showtime”, which dropped to 7.0 percent. ‘EAT…Bulaga’ also experienced a decline, dipping to 3.6 percent.
By Thursday, August 1, “It’s Showtime” recorded another drop, posting a 6.8 percent rating. In contrast, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ saw a modest increase, rising by 0.1 percent to 3.7 percent.
Finally, on Friday, August 2, “It’s Showtime” fell further to 6.7 percent, marking its lowest rating since its simulcast on GMA began on April 6, 2024. Similarly, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ also decreased, dropping by 0.2 percent to 3.5 percent.
Can “It’s Showtime” recover its usual 8 to 9 percent ratings, or is this the new normal for the Kapamilya noontime show?
