Fans of P-pop group BINI, known as “Blooms,” have expressed their frustration over the steep ticket prices for the group’s upcoming ‘Grand BINIverse’ concert, set to take place at the Araneta Coliseum this November.
The ticket prices, which were recently announced, quickly became a trending topic on social media as fans reacted to the significant increase in cost. The cheapest ticket, general admission, is priced at P1,387, while the most expensive VIP standing ticket costs P11,195.
In a post on BINI’s official Twitter account, the group announced the dates for ticket sales: “August 29, 30, and 31, 2024 are the dates you’ve all been waiting for! Watch out for the perks that come with VIP, Patron, and Lower box tickets!”
#BINI : BL♾M! Mark these dates because ticket selling for the Grand #BINIverse at the Araneta Coliseum is finally happening!

However, many fans were quick to criticize the high prices, arguing that they are unreasonable, especially for a local production. Some even compared the prices to those of international concerts, questioning the justification for such a steep increase.

Here are some of the comments from netizens:
You know what I hate din te? Yung binabarat nyo ang Bini. If hindi afford, WAG IPILIT.

Araneta is 500-600k per day, if need mag-open ng aircon during pre-event like sound check and tech rehearsals, additional 20-50k yun for 4 hours. Times these to two days. Plus technical riders and stage, 1-2M/day depends on the req. https://t.co/UdmreR7D4O

I know blooms mean well for the fandom when they want more affordable prices for the majority BUT, I don’t think it’s nice to downplay the girls’ worth by saying they’re just local and comparing them to kpop artists to prove a point :/ https://t.co/x5VJ6A4zPS

Pareho lang logistics ng local and kpop concerts. A lot of times, staging alone for kpop shows are done locally.
Pero mas mahal magstage ng local concert kasi usually 1 day lang ang show. You invest the same energy and money for a 1 day show and a Tour na may 20 shows. https://t.co/1FXF2fs86B

Fans clarified that their criticism is not directed at BINI themselves, but at the concert’s producers and management. Some speculated that the high prices might be due to the large production costs associated with the event.
Now, the question remains: Are the ticket prices for ‘BINIverse’ fair?
