Belle Mariano recently shared insights about her journey and future plans in an interview with ABS-CBN News EMEA Bureau Chief Rose Eclarinal.
The interview followed the Barrio Fiesta event in London on July 21.
Belle, who started her showbiz career at a young age as one of the original ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ kids, reminisced about her early days in the industry. She recently guest-starred on the revived ABS-CBN kids’ gag show, which brought back nostalgic memories.
From a young age, Belle knew that showbiz was her future. Describing herself as a “pabibo kid,” she found joy in performing and making people laugh. Despite starting her career early, Belle feels that showbiz did not take away her childhood.
In addition to acting, Belle is also busy with her singing career. At the Barrio Fiesta in London, she performed five songs, a fraction of the 20 she performed at her recent ‘Belive’ concert in Manila. She dedicates her music to her grandfather, who nurtured her love for singing.
Her “Believe” concert was a way to thank those who support her career. Belle hopes her concert title, ‘Believe,’ sends a message to her fans. “I hope once they watch the concert, or whoever watched the concert, I hope it makes them believe in themselves,” she said.
Belle has made her mark with roles such as young Gabbie Salazar in the prequel to ‘Four Sisters And a Wedding,’ ‘Four Sisters Before The Wedding.’ However, her tandem with Donny Pangilinan, forming the love team DonBelle, has gained immense popularity. Their latest collaboration was the hit primetime series ‘Can’t Buy Me Love.’
As for what’s next, Belle teased that there are plans in the works but remained tight-lipped about the details.
“We also have plans, but I can’t say much,” she hinted.
DonBelle recently performed together in Los Angeles on August 3 for the ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’ show, celebrating the 30th anniversary of TFC. Fans eagerly await the next chapter for DonBelle, confident that more exciting projects are on the horizon.
