Veteran broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio has resumed his duties at GMA Network following his recent battle with a hemorrhagic stroke.
Clavio, who suffered a stroke in June due to slight bleeding on the left side of his brain, is currently undergoing ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Clavio expressed his gratitude and excitement for his return to work in an Instagram post on Monday, August 5. He shared that he has rejoined the morning show Unang Hirit and GMA’s flagship radio station DZBB.
“What a blessing today! Nakabalik na po ako sa trabaho — from @unanghirit to @dzbb594. TV na, radyo pa! Maraming salamat Panginoon, sa aking mga doktor (endo, neuro, cardio), RN, PT, OT, mga coworker, colleague at siyempre sa inyong lahat mga kapusong manonood at tagapakinig,” Clavio wrote, expressing his deep appreciation for the support he has received from his medical team, colleagues, and audience.
During his return to Unang Hirit, Clavio was warmly welcomed by his fellow hosts and colleagues.
He revealed that while he is thrilled to be back, he is still in the midst of his recovery process. “Namiss ko rin kayo… may problema pa tayo sa kanan. Nasa 80 or 90% pa lang so tuloy-tuloy ang aking rehabilitation. Wala pang balanse. May takot pa kapag tatayo ka nang matagal. Baka bumagsak,” Clavio admitted, referring to his ongoing challenges with physical balance and mobility.
