Kapamilya singer-actress Angeline Quinto and her husband Nonrev Daquina have welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Azena Sylvia Daquina.
The baby was born on August 14, 2024, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The couple’s new bundle of joy weighed 6.5 lbs at birth, as reported by their management team, Kreative Talent Management, which shared the happy news along with a black-and-white photo of Angeline taken at the hospital.
Angeline and Nonrev announced in May 2024 that they were expecting their second child.
In a vlog posted on July 5, Angeline revealed that she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, a condition where blood sugar levels rise during pregnancy. “Nakausap ko ‘yung OB and paliwanag niya ‘yung mga naging result ng lab test na ginawa ko… Nakakalungkot kasi nga mayroon daw akong gestational diabetes. Siguro raw dahil sa lifestyle, sa pagkain ko,” she said.
Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy and can pose risks to both the mother and the baby if not properly managed. Despite this challenge, Angeline successfully delivered a healthy baby girl.
The couple, who tied the knot in April 2024 at Quiapo Church in Manila, welcomed their first child, Sylvio, in April 2022. Angeline named Sylvio in honor of her late adoptive mother, Sylvia Quinto, known affectionately as Mama Bob.
