‘Wil To Win’ host Willie Revillame publicly expressed his frustration with the show’s staff during a live broadcast, just days after its premiere.
He lamented that he often has to step in to ensure tasks are completed correctly.
On Thursday, July 18, Revillame addressed several mistakes during the live show. These included a disc jockey error in the opening segment, a floor director walking in front of the camera, and delays in providing materials for a segment.
He continued, “Nire-rehearse namin ito ha.
Due to these delays, Revillame decided to cut a segment, announcing a meeting with the staff after the show.
“Diyos ko, aatakihin ako sa inyo dito… Napakaswerte ko ngayong araw na ito. Bukas naka-dextrose ako,” he sarcastically remarked.
“Maawa kayo sa akin. Nahihirapan na ako sa show na ‘to. Ako lahat,” he said.
Earlier, Revillame and ‘Wil To Win’ also made headlines after he seemingly criticized competitor shows. He emphasized the originality of his program, stating, “Ang importante ang show na ‘to ay original. Inisip ‘to para sa inyo. Hindi ‘to binibili sa ibang bansa,” likely referencing Dingdong Dantes’ ‘Family Feud,’ which is based on the American television show.
These comments followed the release of NUTAM People Ratings (Nielsen Phils TAM) on July 15, showing ‘Family Feud’ with a 9.6% rating, compared to ‘Wil To Win’s’ 2.7%. Despite this, TV5 highlighted that ‘Wil To Win’ had the highest rating performance for its 5:00 to 6:30 PM block in 2024.
