Unkabogable star Vice Ganda recently shared his heartfelt experiences regarding friendship and betrayal. His candid revelations struck a chord with many viewers, shedding light on the importance of valuing true friendships.
During a segment of the show, the topic of genuine friendships arose, prompted by a contestant’s story on ‘EXpecially For You.’ The contestant shared how her brother remained friends with her ex-boyfriend, a situation Vice Ganda found deeply relatable.
Reflecting on his own experiences, Vice admitted the frustration of not being able to tell his friends to cut ties with his exes.
“Nakakainis din ‘yung hindi mo ma-impose o masabi na ‘friends pa rin kayo, ha?’,” Vice shared. “May ganun ako, lalo na ‘yung mga umokray sa akin, ‘yung mga alam kong may mga ginawang kabalbalan sa akin.”
Despite the pain, Vice emphasized the importance of valuing true friends. “Hindi mo masabi na dapat hindi kayo friends kasi karapatan niya ‘yun. Pero may sakit. Lalo na kapag alam mong, ‘di ba mas close tayo?’” he reflected.
Vice continued, explaining his current stance on friendships. “Nandun ako sa punto na gusto kong i-cut ‘yung mga tao na alam kong wala naman silang balak na protektahan ako bilang mahalagang bagay din ng buhay nila. Nasa point na ako na ‘sino ba ‘yung real friends ko? Sino ‘yung mga may magandang intensyon?’”
His co-hosts on ‘It’s Showtime,’ along with the live audience, expressed their agreement and support for Vice’s heartfelt sentiments.
