Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid recently responded to a viral video where he found himself inadvertently embarrassed by a die-hard fan of fellow actor Coco Martin.
The incident occurred during an episode of the morning show ‘Unang Hirit,’ where Ruru, along with his ‘Black Rider’ co-star Jon Lucas, was seen giving a TV to a senior citizen.
“Makakanood ka na ng Black Rider ‘Tay… nanonood ka raw palagi ng Black Rider ‘Tay?” Jon asked the elderly man.
Without hesitation, the senior citizen replied, “Mula pa noon… ang napapanood ko, ang hinahangaan ko, si Coco Martin.”
Ruru and Jon couldn’t help but laugh at the man’s straightforward declaration. Coco Martin stars in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ the rival series of ‘Black Rider.’
Despite the unexpected response, Ruru expressed his admiration for Coco Martin. “Kahit naman po sino sobrang hinahangaan at iniidolo po si Sir Coco! Maging ako po at alam po ni Sir Coco yun! Hehe Labyu Tay!” said the Kapuso actor.
Ruru’s gracious response highlights the mutual respect and admiration between actors, even those starring in competing shows.
