Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has publicly congratulated Heart Evangelista on her recent contract renewal with GMA Network.
Rivera and Evangelista, two of the network’s most celebrated stars, have a long history with GMA Network. Heart Evangelista joined the network in 2008, transitioning from ABS-CBN. Over the years, both actresses have become integral to the Kapuso brand, though their relationship was marked by a notable estrangement for a period.
The rift between them, which had kept them from appearing together at public events, was resolved last year. By October 2023, both celebrities had reconnected privately, and their renewed friendship became evident when they began following each other on Instagram. This reconciliation was well-received by their fans.
On July 29, Heart Evangelista officially renewed her contract with GMA Network. The signing ceremony was attended by numerous Kapuso stars, including Marian Rivera via Zoom, who took the opportunity to express her support.
In her message, Rivera said, “Congratulations sa iyong contract renewal and of course, I wish you all the best and sana i-guide ka pa ni Lord sa lahat ng gagawin mo. I’ll see you soon!”
Heart Evangelista’s contract renewal marks a significant milestone in her career with GMA Network. Following the contract signing, reports indicate that she is preparing for a new film project, though details have yet to be revealed. This upcoming project will be her first film role since Felix Manalo, which premiered in 2015.
