Vivamax is going full steam ahead with the release of ‘Maharot’ and ‘Daddysitter,’ two new films packed with a lot of intrigue, heat, and drama.
In ‘Maharot,’ a young man’s fascination with a woman sets him on a path of self-discovery as he navigates love, friendship, and heartache. Starring Aiko Garcia and Victor Relosa, ‘Maharot’ is now streaming exclusively on Vivamax .
Directed by Rodante Y. Pajemna Jr., ‘Maharot’ is about a mysterious woman named Joni (Garcia), whose arrival in a small community ignites gossip and intrigue.
Tantan (Relosa), a high school student, is attracted to her and befriends her despite warnings from his neighbors. And as they begin to create a bond, Joni makes Tantan learn a lot about love, life, and self-confidence.
However, as Tantan’s feelings for Joni deepen, things become more complicated due to their age difference and Joni’s work as a prostitute.
Another wave of drama unfolds in Tantan’s life when his best friend, Tasyo (Ardy Raymundo), starts a romantic relationship with Helen (Athena Red), a girl Tantan initially liked.
Tensions escalate when Joni gets publicly shamed for her profession, forcing her to make difficult and life-changing decisions.
Will Tantan fight for his love for Joni despite all the odds, or will the woman who changed his life only end up breaking his heart? Find out in ’Maharot,’ now available to stream.
On August 2, Vivamax star Apple Dy enters the world of sugar dating as a ‘Daddysitter’ in director Christian Paolo Lat’s film of the same title, with Armani Hector, Emil Sandoval, and Mia Cruz rounding out the cast.
‘Daddysitter’ follows Mara (Dy), a college student, who is barely making ends meet despite their food business. She is particularly strained by her brother’s tuition fee expenses following the loss of his scholarship.
Enter Isabelle (Cruz), Mara’s friend, who introduces her to the concept of“daddysitting” – a term used for dating wealthy and old men in exchange for financial support and gifts.
Through Isabelle’s connections, Mara meets Ryan (Sandoval), an older gentleman who becomes her client. Although initially uncomfortable with the intimate and sexual nature of their relationship for the sake of money, Mara gives in due to financial pressures.
However, Mara soon learns of Ryan’s declining health. He also has an entitled son, Joseph (Hector), who blackmails Mara into a compromising situation and aims to use her to expedite his inheritance from his father.
Caught between the kindness Ryan has shown her and the desperate need to ease her financial burdens, Mara is faced with a tricky dilemma. Will she remain loyal to Ryan, or is she going to be a willing pawn to Joseph’s dangerous schemes?
‘Daddysitter’ is waiting for you to stream on August 2.
