Kapamilya television host Luis Manzano has reaffirmed his commitment to ABS-CBN by renewing his contract with the network on Tuesday, July 2.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by ABS-CBN’s top executives, including president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, chairman Mark Lopez, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, CFO Rick Tan, and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi. Manzano’s talent manager, June Rufino, was also present at the event.
Manzano expressed his gratitude and pride in being a “forever Kapamilya,” citing the mutual support between him and ABS-CBN as a crucial factor in his decision to stay with the network.
“Para sa akin kaya sobrang importante na mga maging ‘forever Kapamilya’ is nararamdaman mo na nandiyan kayo para sa isa’t isa. And the word is already there — Kapamilya. Siguro I would like to think that at the very challenging times of ABS-CBN, I was there, nandoon ako. At the same time, noong ako ay dumaan sa napaka-challenging points ng buhay ko, hindi bumitaw o hindi nawala ang tiwala sa akin ng ABS-CBN. And that is why I’m proud to say that I am forever a Kapamilya,” Manzano shared.
To commemorate the occasion, Manzano made a toast with the ABS-CBN executives and his manager, celebrating this significant milestone in his career.
Manzano is set to host ABS-CBN’s upcoming game show, “Rainbow Rumble,” which aims to bring back the excitement of classic game shows.
“Yes, malapit na malapit na po ang ‘Rainbow Rumble.’ Kasi eksakto ‘yan maraming naka-miss ng ibang game shows ng ABS-CBN. If na-miss niyo ang ‘Game KNB?’, if na-miss niyo ‘yung potluck dati na ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ — ito, ibabalik namin ‘yung ganoong klaseng excitement, ganoong klaseng game show. Para sa inyong lahat ‘yan,” Manzano announced.
He also expressed his appreciation for the continued trust placed in him by ABS-CBN and his management team.
“And I would like to thank all our bosses [and] Tita June, maraming salamat. Because more than a contract, para sa akin, each show na gawin mo… basta sabihin sa akin, ‘Luis, may bago kang gagawin.’ Para sa akin, it shows tiwala. Napakalaking bagay na kahit per project lang ay nandoon pa rin ang tiwala sa akin ng ABS-CBN. So thank you very much sa lahat ng mga Kapamilya natin at malapit na malapit na po ang ‘Rainbow Rumble,’” he added.
With over two decades in the entertainment industry, Manzano’s return to hosting a game show is eagerly anticipated by fans and viewers alike.
